What is Resale Certificate?
Resale Certificate is a document confirming that you are a legal seller or buyer and purchase products for resale.
For using a Resale Certificate you need to register for Sales Tax in at least one US state.
Forty-five US states and Washington have their own rules and sales tax laws.
Using a Resale Certificate to buy goods you are not going to sell is illegal.
If you use a Resale Certificate to buy an item but ultimately do not sell it, your state will require you to pay tax on the taxable item.
This is usually paid when a state tax return is being filed. This can be separate documentation if your state does not have income tax.
It is also important to note that ten USA states do not allow suppliers to accept an out-of-state Resale Certificate. These are, for example, Alabama, Washington, Washington DC, Hawaii, Illinois, California.
To buy a tax-free item from a seller in a state on this list you will need to register for a sales tax permit in that state.
Please note that if you have a sales tax permit from a state, you cannot only buy non-taxable items from sellers in that state, but you are also required to collect state tax from your buyers.

Issuance of an EIN

ITIN preparation
An Individual Taxpayer Identification Number ITIN is the number used for tax processes, and is only available to non-resident foreigners and residents, their spouses and dependents, who cannot get a social security number (SSN).
